What is FrontPorch?

FrontPorch is a resident engagement platform and HOA resource designed to enhance and reinforce the positive impact HOAs have on neighborhood living. Through FrontPorch, residents stay informed, better-connected, and mutually supported through useful local resources, news, events and trusted local service providers.

What is NeighborGuard?

NeighborGuard is FrontPorch's directory of trusted local service providers—recommended by neighbors or vetted for trustworthiness and reliability.

Who runs FrontPorch and NeighborGuard?

FrontPorch is an independent community platform that works alongside—not in place of—your HOA or property management company.

Does this cost residents anything?

No. FrontPorch and NeighborGuard are free for residents to use and are provided by the Property Management Company as an HOA resource.

Why is our HOA offering this?

To give residents a safer, easier and better way to find reliable and trustworthy local services and helpful community information—without relying on random online searches.

Does the Property Management Company benefit financially?

No, there is no financial compensation paid by the platform or participating service providers to the Property Management Company. In fact, FrontPorch only charges the providers the minimum necessary to run and maintain the platform. In contrast to other high-cost, pay-to-play and pay per lead advertising platforms, NeighborGuard providers are strongly encouraged and incentivized to pass the savings onto residents, in the form of better service and better pricing.

How are service providers chosen?

Providers are included in one of two ways:

  • Neighbor Recommended by residents
  • NeighborGuard Verified through a screening process that may include licensing, insurance, and business checks

Verification does not mean the HOA, management company, or FrontPorch guarantees the provider's work.

Is this just advertising?

No. The focus is on trust, transparency, and community value—not pay-to-play listings. We keep the cost to service providers low, so that they may in turn "pay it forward" and offer better service and pricing to residents.

Can residents leave feedback or reviews?

Yes. FrontPorch has an internal review system, ensuring resident feedback helps keep the directory accurate and accountable.

Is my personal information shared?

No. Resident information is not sold or shared with service providers.

Can I recommend a provider I trust?

Yes! Neighbor recommendations are encouraged and help NeighborGuard provide a safer, more trustworthy way for neighbors to find high-quality local service providers. There are multiple paths on the platform itself for neighbors to recommend their favorite providers.
